Committees

APAC members participate in the following standing committees to facilitate actions within the Council.

Communications

Function: The Communications Committee informs all UA Appointed Professionals and the University Campus community of all the Council's goals, accomplishments and current work.

Tasks: The committee is responsible for the APAC web site, e-mail listserv, marketing and outreach of the Council.

Chair: Ronald Wysocki, Ph.D. (pro tempore)

Governance (inactive)

Function: The Governance Committee oversees APAC organizational structure.

Tasks: The committee maintains and updates the By-Laws, Mission and Vision Statements and ensures the Council runs smoothly.

Human Resources (inactive)

Function: The Human Resources Committee assists UA Appointed Professionals with effectively navigating their careers. In conjunction with the UA HR staff, the committee provides feedback on AP initiatives such as surveys, current departmental practices and morale issues.

Tasks: Committee members identify needs and publish materials to enhance communication between employees and supervisors. The committee coordinates the annual APAC retreat and the APAC summer orientation.

Membership Committee

Function: The Membership Committee seeks to increase the number of members who join and participate in APAC.

Tasks: This committee solicits candidates and conducts elections for council leadership positions, enlists new members to fill council seats vacated through annual turnover and helps place APAC members on other University committees. The committee maintains a list of UA Appointed Professionals to be used to distribute mass mailings to all AP.
